-sry
dash-ess-ahr-why?I'll tell you why. -sry is a diminutive form taken by the not-so-diminutive but short of height and light of bones Sarah R. Yoffa for use in her online travels and trevails, meanderings and generalized rabble-rousing activities. The identity originated when I got sick and tired of spelling my damn name to everyone and his brother (or buddy or u.n.c.l.e. or cubemate or this really nice friend over on *mumblemumble* that saw your post and thought....)
Given that way back then (in the Dark Ages, Really Perverse And Nerdy Times, aka DARPAnet), there were maybe twenty other females actively cruising the net worldwide, the handy dandy handle "-sry" also served the very important purpose of hiding my questionable sexuality (oooooh, ahhhhh, high mobility and everything!!) Hey, not to be confused with various "SRY" (do notice the capitalization!) I'm a female born an XX chromosome pair perfectly intact just the way it should be :) but any part of you that touches any part of me, is mine to keep or do with as I will. No, I'm not on the market for spare body parts at the moment, but thanks so much for offering me that hand on my ass...uhh, how many fingers did you say there were again? I think I might have lost one around here when that knife slipped. You know how it is with sharp, pointy things.
If you have no idea what any of this means, why it's funny, or what it references--well, clearly you haven't known me very long, not even as long as this sentence and this sentence had the decency to start with a dependent clause and end with a question mark (as in punctuation, no substitution!), so stop calling it a sentence, will ya? Yes, but...no, but...yes.... Just say yes. It's easier on us all.
If you're still confused, you've already given me five minutes of your life. You do know how I feel about "five minutes" don't you? Far better than I do about the next 3 minutes.
You should be really lost by now, so my work is done. How's about you go browse the lists of links on the right or left sides of your screen and let me rant about the evil that is DRM in peace? Actually, I'm probably listening to the news or some good music. What's good music? Check my music links for stuff I like or try out the nifty-keen Pandora eToy, a way to share and discover new-to-you music--free and unencrypted! Yeah, it's that anti-DRM talk again. Just be warned, once you open Pandora's box, you won't be able to quit--too much good, new music, not enough time!
